SchneiderLois Jane (nee Zimmermann), 94, of Clifton, passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2017. Born in Passaic, Mrs. Schneider was a lifelong resident of Clifton. From the time she was born she spent her summers at the lake in Green Pond, NJ. Before retirement, Mrs. Schneider, along with her husband, was the proprietor of Leonard A. Schneider Flowers on Clifton Avenue in Clifton since 1948. Loie truly loved the shop and always had fresh flowers in the house. As a lifelong member of the First Presbyterian Church of Passaic, Mrs. Schneider had served as a Trustee, an Elder and President of the Women's Association. She was a 75-year member of the Stella Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star and had served as President of the Women's Chapel Club in Green Pond. She touched many people with her love and happiness, and her meticulous knack for detail kept everyone on their toes. As she would happily remind you, "I'm a very popular lady." Her pride and joy was her family. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Leonard A. Schneider in 1977 and her eldest son, James L. Schneider in 1994. She will be forever missed and loved by three sons, David C. Schneider and his wife Catherine of Pennington, NJ, Russell D. Schneider and his husband, Courtney Coleman of Clifton and Roger A. Schneider and his wife Jennifer of Green Pond, NJ; her daughter-in-law, Barbara Schneider of Clifton; two sisters, Barbara Hassert and Patricia Williams; six grandchildren, Daniel, Matthew and his wife Dana, John and his wife Jessy, Kevin, Scott and Emily Schneider; and four great-grandchildren, Catherine, Caroline, Gunner and Madelyn Schneider. Visiting hours will be held Thursday from 4 to 8 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. Funeral services will be held Friday 10:00 am at First Presbyterian Church of Passaic, 112 Washington Place, Passaic. Please meet at church. Interment to follow at Laurel Grove Memorial Park in Totowa.
