87, of Jackson passed away August 3, 2017 at Henry Ford Allegiance in Jackson. She was born August 25, 1929 in Fremont, Ohio to Orville and Pearl (Stover) Snyder. She graduated from Pittsford High School in 1947. For over 30 years she worked at Hillsdale Community Health Center as a cook. For many years following her retirement she worked part-time at Camp Michindoh.

For most of her life she resided in Pittsford and relocated to Jackson in her later years. She loved sewing, cooking and baking, word search puzzles, country music, and watching the Detroit Tigers.

She is survived by her daughter, Pam Peterson of Jackson, 4 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, her brother Russell, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Jim and Orille and her sisters Helen, Katherine, Marguerite, and Lillian.

According to her wishes cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will be held on August 25, 2017 at Watson Funeral Chapel, 2590 Spring Arbor Rd, Jackson. Visitation will take place from 3-4PM followed by a memorial service at 4PM. Reverend David Dyson will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Jackson County Department on Aging. Lois was always extremely grateful for all the help she received from this organization.
