Lon C. Keehn, 58, passed into the arms of Jesus Sunday, February 11, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Lonnie was born to Leslie and Myrtle Keehn on August 6, 1959 in Knox, IN, where he lived most of his life. In 2002, he moved onto his sister's farm in Walkerton, where he helped operate her long-standing produce farm.
Lonnie loved fishing and camping and attending as many festivals as he could. He enjoyed dressing in Daniel Boone era deerskins at the yearly Yellow River Festivals in Hamlet. He also dressed in his buckskins at the 1800's Rendezvous every year at Hester's Farm in Walkerton. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post in North Liberty, IN.
Lon was predeceased by his parents, sisters, Nettie Jean Patrich and Beverly Teske and one nephew, Carl Patrick.
Survivors include sisters, Irene (Roy) Daniel of California and Barb Burket of Walkerton; his brother, Larry Keehn of Rhode Island; two nephews; one niece; two great-nephews; one great-niece (triplets); and his furbaby, Thor.
The family would like to thank the medical staff at St. Joseph Hospital, Mishawaka and especially Dr. Rashid Khan, who diligently cared for Lonnie.
As per Lonnie's wishes, there will be no visitation or services. Memorial contributions may be made to the North Liberty American Legion Post #365. Rannells Funeral Home, Koontz Lake Chapel is handling
