Loren K Schmohr, 96, of Wilber and formerly of Crete passed away on March 8, 2017.



Loren was born in Pickrell, NE on August 31, 1920 to Karl and Sophia Schmohr. He was baptized at St Paul’s, Soap Creek DeWitt in September 1920. He was confirmed in the Trinity Lutheran (near De Witt) on 1934.



Loren graduated High School from Clatonia in 1938. He worked at Fairmont Food and was inducted to the US Army in 1942. He was in the army for 4 year and served in the Northern France Area during WWII. When Loren returned from the war he the established an egg route until 1990. He delivered eggs to UNL, frat, and sorority and door to door making many longtime friends.



Survivors include brother, Robert Schmohr, Sun City West AZ, 5 nephews Gary and Donn Schmohr, Harold, Dennis and Eldon Strokebrand and several great-nephews and great nieces.



Preceded in death by his parents Karl and Sophia (Rohe) Schmohr and sister, Norma (Alfred) Strokebrand and sister-in-law Delores Schmohr.



Memorial Service, Saturday, April 1, 2017 2 PM Trinity Lutheran Church, DeWitt, Nebraska with Pastor Sean Koos.



Private Burial was at Lincoln Memorial.
