Lorine Tackett Cheek, age 82, a resident of Mash Fork in Salyersville, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, March 8, 2018 at her home.

Lorine was born May 8, 1935 in Salyersville, Kentucky the daughter of the late Grimsy and Gladys Hunley Tackett. Husband, Winford Cheek, Sons, Keith Cheek, Ricky Cheek, and brother, Troy Tackett preceded in death.

Lorine was employed as a cook for the Magoffin County School System and as a seamstress. However, it was common to find her completing any work at home, on the farm, or at one of the kids homes helping out.

Those left to mourn includes sons, Terry Cheek and wife Ginger of Salyersville, Kentucky, Todd Cheek and wife Henrietta of Salyersville, Kentucky, daughter Deborah Cheek of Salyersville, Kentucky, sisters, Pat Gullett of Salyersville, Kentucky, Lillian Howard of Stanton, Kentucky, nine grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, one great grandson, a host of family and friends who love and miss her.

Funeral services for Lorine Cheek will be conducted Monday, March 12, 2018 at 1:00 PM from the chapel of the Salyersville Funeral Home in Salyersville, Kentucky. Interment will follow in the Cheek Family Cemetery in Salyersville, Kentucky. The family will welcome friends Saturday, March 10, 2018 after 6:00 PM, Sunday, March 11, 2018 after 10:00 AM, and anytime prior to the funeral service.
