Lorraine (Wemhoff) Bunt passed away peacefully on February 25, 2017 at her home in King City, OR. She was born September 1, 1926 to Alois and Ida (Heinen) Wemhoff. The tenth child of thirteen, she was the last one remaining after the recent passing of her brother Al Wemhoff.

She was born and raised in Cottonwood, Idaho. After graduating from Greencreek High School, she headed for the big city and never missed farm life.

Lorraine married Clarence Huck on May 1, 1948 and settled in East Portland where they added five girls to the boomer generation. Clarence died on May 18, 1972 and Lorraine became a single mother just as the Women's movement started to take hold. A lifelong Democrat, she taught her girls to be non-judgmental and that success should not be at the expense of the downtrodden. She was thrilled to finally be voting for a woman presidential candidate, although she thought the VP should have been a woman, as well.

On August 21, 1976, Lorraine married Victor Bunt in Portland. Together they traveled to Japan, Mexico and Hawaii. Vic and Lorraine were gracious hosts; holidays and celebrations at the Bunts were always memorable. Victor died on February 7th, 1994.

Lorraine is survived by four of her children, Sue (Rob) Lowrey, Nancy Huck, Judy (Jim) Gallucci and Shirley Warren; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Lorraine was preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia Primavera.

A funeral mass will be held at St Anthony's in Tigard Oregon on March 4, 2017 at 11 a.m. Celebration of life to follow, location to be determined.
