Louise H. Mey, age 97, of Spring Hill, Florida, died on Friday, June 2, 2017 at the Brooksville Healthcare Center. Louise was born on January 5, 1920, in Medford, MA, to the late Patrick C. & Elizabeth (Mahood) Raimo. Louise moved to Spring Hill in 1986 and she lived there in the same house for 30 years. Louise retired from E.R Squibb & Sons in Boston, MA at the age of 65. She went back to work, ‘cause she just didn’t want to, “sit at home”, so she continued with working, three jobs at a time when she could have relaxed. At almost 80, Louise finally retired. Louise was a member of St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Church, Spring Hill. Louise Married George Mey, and he died when Mom was 49, with two children, Kris and Ronnie Mey. Mom’s son passed away 2 years ago (Ronnie Mey) in February 2015, and his wife Marie passed before he did. Also a great loss for Louise was her youngest Granddaughter, Denise Veverka, three years ago. Louise was the oldest of seven children. One brother, Bill Raimo, still survives. Louise was one that could not sit back. She went to classes at the high school, funny because her daughter said she was busier now, at 70 than most 30 year olds. Dancing at night with her girlfriends was one of her big joys as well as eating out and shopping. But most of all, she adored her family and showed that in many ways. Spending as much time as she could, and we loved that. Louise was a terrific cook, teaching family and sharing recipes. There are many if you have favorites, we can share. Louise was a very loved person by everyone that met her. She will be forever missed. Her memories will always be alive with her many photos of events like Christmas and birthdays and anything that involved cake. She always signed her cards with “S.W.A.K” (sealed with a kiss). Louise was a devout Catholic, prayed and said her Rosary every night. Sometimes praying for hours for family and friends, and all living creatures. She loved animals and her 5 cats and Big Dog Buddy, got lots of her attention. She will be truly missed by all. Mom will be looking down from Heaven and beside us through Eternity, giving us love and Peace. XOXOXOXOXO. Louise is loving survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kristine and Gregory Veverka, of Spring Hill, FL. granddaughters: Jennifer Lambke and Karalynn Cino and her Husband Sam Cino. Greatgrandchildren: Dominique Veverka, Devin Lambke, Sammy Cino, Dante Dix, and Desraa Dix, and 1 Great Great Grandson, Sterling Leo Morning. One surviving sibling, Brother: Bill Raimo, he resides in VT at age 94 with Mabel, her sister-in-law. As well as many Nieces and Nephews, scattered from Florida to Hawaii. Cremation arrangements and care are entrusted to the Turner Funeral Home, 14360 Spring Hill Drive, Spring Hill, FL 34609. Please take a moment to sign the attached guest book, and share a memory, that may bring comfort to the family.
