Hembree, Lowell Walter, 92, of Wichita, Kansas passed away peacefully on Wednesday September 20, 2017 in Colorado Springs, CO. Lowell was born the son of Walter and Gladys Hembree on September 26, 1924 in Wichita, Kansas. Lowell and Doris Hembree were united in marriage on March 9, 1947. Together they celebrated 67 years of marriage before her passing in 2014. Lowell served in the United States Army during World War II. Lowell served on the transportation committee. Lowell was a Master Mason and played in the Hillbilly Band and Dad’s of Dixieland for the Wichita Midian Shrine. Lowell retired at age 80 after 50 years of service as a draftsman with Sedgwick County. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and sister; Margie Palmer. Survivors include his loving daughters; Karen (Robert) Crosby of Wichita, Lisa (Bart) Lorenz of Colorado Springs, CO, ex-son-in-law; Steve Hutchison, grandchildren; Bobby (Meghan) Crosby, Carl (Teresa) Hutchison, Matt (Samantha) Hutchison, Dalton Lorenz, Ashton (Sean) Howard, great-grandchildren; Payton Urbanek, Nolan Crosby, Trenton and Avery Hutchison, Lyllee Hutchison. Celebration of Life services will be 10:00 a.m. on Monday September 25, 2017 at Lakeview Funeral Home, 12100 E. 13th St. N., Wichita. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, Wichita. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children c/o Midian Shrine Temple, 130 N. Topeka St., Wichita, KS.
