Lucille Jones Davidson, 92, of South Charleston passed away March 6, 2017 in Hubbard Hospice West after a long illness.



Lucille was born in Elkhurst, WV to the late Tina Reed and Joseph J. Jones. She was preceded in death by husband of 66 years, Charles “Charlie” Robert Davidson; and five siblings.



Survived by sons, David L. Davidson (Special friend, Catherine Mabe) of South Charleston, and C. Douglas Davidson (Brenda) of Hurricane; grandchildren, Joslyn Beth Davidson of Hurricane, and Bryan D. Davidson of Austin, Texas; sister, Doris Haase of Allegan, Michigan; and numerous nieces and nephews.



Lucille was retired from Columbia Gas with 43 years service. She attended St. Paul United Methodist Church, Spring Hill. Lucille enjoyed Square Dancing, and was a proud cast member of the 35th Star Centennial Celebration, 1963.



The family would like to thank the many caregivers, HospiceCare, and medical workers for their professional and compassionate care of Lucille.



Service will be 1pm, Thursday, March 9, 2017 at Tyler Mountain Funeral Home, 5233 Rocky Fork Road, Cross Lanes, WV 25313 with Reverend Cindy Briggs-Biondi officiating. Entombment will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens.



A gathering of family and friends will begin at 11am, Thursday, at the Funeral Home.



In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Hubbard Hospice House West, 4605 MacCorkle Ave. SW, South Charleston, WV 25309.
