Malcolm A. “Mac” Russell, 54, Reading, died May 22, 2007, at 4:35 p.m. in his residence. He was the partner of Thomas A. Neidert, Reading, with whom he resided. Born Nov. 25, 1952, in Lewisburg, Union County, he was a son of the late Bob F. Russell and Jean M. (Bergenstock) Russell. Russell was employed as a chef at Konopelski of Met-Ed, Reading, for 21/2 years and was an assistant chef at Kutztown University for five years. He was a graduate of Milton High School and San Francisco Culinary School. Surviving are two brothers, Michael F. Russell, Milton, and Dennis L. Russell, Mifflinburg. Other survivors include two nieces and a nephew; three great-nephews and a great-niece. Graveside services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society 498 Bellevue Ave., Laureldale, PA. 19605. Online condolences may be made at www.whelanschwartz.com.
