Graveside services for Mr. Malvin Lee Fender, 83, of Thomasville, who died Saturday, February 10, 2018, will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery.

Born in Bibb County, he was the son of the late Marvin Steven Fender and Annie Lee Lyles Fender. He was a graduate of Middle Georgia College and the University of Georgia. He lived in Ft. Walton, FL for 25 years, moving to Thomasville three years ago. He was of the Baptist faith and was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Opal Pipkin Fender.

Survivors include: wife, Mary Fender of Thomasville; son, Steve (Angela) Fender of Greer, S.C.; daughters, Anita Fender and Kaye Heck, both of Summerville, S.C., Annette (Louis) Bettencourt of Macon, Vicky (Steve) Hubbs and Nancy (Butch) Scheider, all of Leesburg, GA; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters-in-law, Imogene Young and Iverlyn Arnold, both of Cochran and Joyce Lane of Monktown, MD.

The family will meet friends at the funeral home Thursday from 12 until 1:30 p.m.
