Marcella M. "Sally" Eminger, 101, of Fort Wayne, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2017 at St. Anne Home. She was born November 10, 1915 in St. Henry, OH to the late Adam and Mary (Altmeyer) Esser. She worked as a homemaker and had also worked at Essex Wire and Die as a die maker during WWII and also had previously worked in the cafeteria at L. S. Ayres and Lincoln Life. She was a member St. Therese Catholic Church. She enjoyed cooking and baking. Bowling, playing cards, bingo, and painting were a few of her other interests. Surviving are her granddaughter, Katie (Mike) Staron; great granddaughters, Sophie and Maddie; daughter in law, Pamela Eminger; and brothers in law, Harold and Arnold Andrews.Also preceding her in death was her husband, William Eminger; son, John Eminger; brothers, Adam, John, and Jacob Esser; and sisters, Helen Schlegel, Alvina Heitkamp, Loretta Voskuhl, and Martha Feipel. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 11 AM at St. Therese Catholic Church, 2304 Lower Huntington Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46819 with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be on Wednesday from 5 to 7 PM at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46809. Burial will be in Catholic Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Anne Home.
