Margot E. Cinque, 80 passed away on Monday, Oct. 9 at her home in Fitzwilliam, New Hampshire.

Margot was born on Jan. 13, 1937 in Brooklyn, New York to Swedish parents, Magda O. and Eric O. Rosenquist. At 18, she married Vincent A. Cinque and they had three children. She worked as an Executive Assistant in the Asset Management department at E.F. Hutton, Lehman Brothers, and American Express on Wall Street in NYC for many years.

For the past 16 years Margot shared the Fitzwilliam home with her daughter Ann Lafond, her son-in-law Bruce Lafond, and her grandson, Anthony, a freshman at the University of Massachusetts. She battled lung cancer for the past four years.

Margot loved to sew and counted cross-stitch was her passion. She was an avid reader and loved doing crossword puzzles in ink-the Sunday New York Times in particular. Although of Swedish descent, her Italian food rivaled none. She was also an amazing laundress and could get a stain out of just about anything! She loved playing Scrabble, doing puzzles, and had an incredible memory for just about everything.

Most of all, Margot loved her family. It was her greatest joy when they came to visit. She is survived by her daughter Deborah Harbeck and husband Charles of Oceanside, NY, grandchildren Carl, wife Rena, great granddaughter Sarah of Massapequa, NY, Nicholas, and Caleb of Oceanside; son Douglas and wife Deborah of West Orange, NJ, grandchildren Eric and Andrea, as well as Ann, Bruce, and Anthony. She is predeceased by her granddaughter: Amy, daughter of Deborah and Charles Harbeck.

A Celebration of Margot's Life will be held at the Fitzwilliam Inn on Saturday, Nov. 4 from 4 to 6 p.m.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, PO Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101.
