Born January 1st 1932 in Montebello, CA. He joined the United States Army on August 14,1952 where he served in the Korean War. He was honorably discharged on July 31,1960 with 2 medals and 1 purple heart. He started a career in restaurants and nightclubs . He owned and operated El Ranchito Restaurant from 1964 to 1973. He then started El Copa Cabana Nightclub & Restraunt from 1973 to 1979. From there he retired to his "Rancho Rios"established in 1969 in Barstow, CA. He was a member of the V.F.W. and the American Legion in Barstow,CA for 40 years.

He is survived by his wife, Josephine Rios of Barstow,CA. Children, Vivian Gomez and her husband Joe of Hanford,CA. Garth Rios of Barstow,CA. Nicholas Rios of Barstow,CA. Victoria Hunter of Barstow,CA., and Marcos Perayda Rios of Arizona. Step-Children, Vincent Aguilar, Lonnie Aguilar and Mary Ann Henry. Sister Celia R. Vera of Texas, brothers Manuel Rios of Norwalk,CA., and Daniel Rios of Barstow,CA. He has many children and grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Maria and Pedro Rios, sisters Mary and Julia, brothers Rudolpho, John, and Robert.

His Passions included entertaining, dancing, and horse races. Hobbies included riding his tractor and taking care of the ranch. Some of his old sayings included " A great time in Las Vegas". "Was always in "Chicago!" or "Down Town. He also liked to say he was a part of the "Flinstone Family".

Services will be held at Mead Mortuary, Barstow, CA

Visitation will be held Wednesday March 22,2017 from 4-8PM. A rosary and prayer service will begin Thursday March 23,2017 at 2PM. A graveside will be held Tuesday March 28,2017 at 1:15PM at Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside, California
