Marie French, 74 of Newbern, Tennessee died on Wednesday, November 23, 2016, at her residence in Newbern, Tennessee.
Born Saturday, July 11, 1942 in Harrisburg, Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late Mose Kyle and the late Gladys Cook Kyle. Ms. French was a former employee of First Bank and Trust and co-founder of Hog Heaven Bar-B-Q.
Graveside services for Ms. French will be 1:00 PM on Monday, November 28, 2016 at Rehoboth Cemetery. Officiating this service will be Rev. Lyndel Fisher. Visitation for Ms. French will be held Monday from 10:30 AM until 12:30 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
She is survived by two sons, Richard French(Tammy) of Newbern,Tennessee and Scott French (Cindy) of Newbern, Tennessee; two daughters, Dana Simpson (Chris) of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Nicole Forsythe of Newbern, Tennessee; George French of Newbern, Tennessee; one brother, Lamar Kyle of Fort Smith, Arkansas; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Luther Kyle and Mose Kyle and one sister, Sarah Popejoy.
Pallbearers will be Preston French, Chris Simpson, Mason Forsythe, Larry Forsythe, Neil Pepejoy and Cory Landry.
