Marilyn(Carter) Rhineberger, 78, of Fremont peacefully passed away at Fremont Memorial Hospital on Friday, September 23, 2016.
She was born on July 26, 1938 in Norwalk, OH to George and Mabel (March) Carter and was a 1956 graduate of Norwalk St. Paul High School. She first worked as a telephone operator for Northern Ohio Telephone Co. in Norwalk then later at General Electric in Bellevue. She later became a stay at home Mom for her two boys, Kenneth and David as well as a cafeteria volunteer at Sacred Heart grade school in Fremont for nearly 29 years. She enjoyed golfing and was an avid fan of the Cleveland Indians.
On September 27, 1958 she married Donald Rhineberger at St. Paul's rectory in Norwalk and they were married for 38 years until his passing in November 1996. They had three sons, Dennis who died when 2 months old, Kenneth and David.
Survivors include her sons Kenneth (Doreen), and their two children Tracey and Kyle who reside in Perry, OH and David who resides in Fremont; sister Berdine (Bea) Parish of Fremont and her favorite cousin, Mardelle Carabin of Norwalk, OH; sisters-in-law Marlene Kovasckitz of Hope Mills, NC; Betty Gruver of El Centro, CA and Bonnie Carter of Norwalk, OH. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Dennis and her brother James Carter.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 from 2-4 & 6-8P.M. at Keller -Koch-Chudzinski Funeral Home, 416 S. Arch Street, Fremont, OH. Mass of Resurrection will take place on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rev. Chris Kardzis officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Fremont, OH.
