Marilyn K. Runyan passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 13, 2015. She was 72.

Ms. Runyan was born in Akron, Ohio and has lived in Watsonville since 1966. She received her Master's Degree from Fresno State University and became a beloved teacher at Watsonville High School for over 30 years. Ms. Runyan was active in the Monterey Bay Dog Training Club with obedience and agility training, the Watsonville Camera Club and volunteered with Para Cruz. She also was a long time member of the All Saints Episcopal Church and enjoyed reading.

Ms. Runyan is survived by her many friends. Contributions made in her honor are requested to the Arthritis Foundation, American Heart Association, Diabetes Association and the Canine Companion for Independence.

A memorial service will be held at the All Saints Episcopal Church, 437 Rogers Ave. Watsonville, on Saturday, March 28th at 1:00 pm. Mehl's Colonial Chapel was trusted with funeral arrangements.
