Marion was born on June 27, 1929 and passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2017.

Marion was a resident of Montgomery, Alabama at the time of passing.

She attended Dothan High School where she met her husband, James Burkett, who was an all-state running back who later went on to play football for the University of Alabama.

A Memorial Service will be held at First United Methodist Church, 2416 W. Cloverdale Park, Montgomery, Alabama on Monday, June 12, 2017, at 2:00 PM. Visitation with family at the Church will occur in the Reception Room (across from the Chapel) at 1:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to First United Methodist Church, 2416 W. Cloverdale Park, Montgomery, AL 36106 or to John Knox Retirement Tower Activity Fund, 4401 Narrow Lane Road, Montgomery, AL 36116.
