Mark Daniel Johnson, 17, of Loveland passed away September 3, 2010 after his courageous fight with cancer. Mark was born on August 15, 1993 in Fort Collins to Jerry and Yvette (Plumey) Johnson. In 2004, Mark was diagnosed with Osteogenic Sarcoma (Bone Cancer) in which part of his left leg was removed. Last summer Mark had just celebrated his 5 years of being cancer free. This January, Mark was re-diagnosed with Lung Cancer and it had metastied. Mark fought hard always with strength, courage, determination, optimism and a strong will. This is the characteristics of a true fighter that got him through the last 6 months. Sadly, Mark lost his battle with cancer but now enjoys the use of both of his legs in the presence of his creator. Mark enjoyed BMX bike, X-Box Live, movies, the great outdoors and his dog Brandy. Mark had a great sense of humor. His smile brightened every room. His gentle heart will be greatly missed. He leaves behind an older brother, Aaron; sister Brittany; mom Yvette; dad Jerry; grandparents Derald and Ila-mae Johnson and Olga Rivera; Aunts Becky Fredricey (Nick Brace), Lisa Harrison, Amy Johnson, Michelle Johnson and Jackie Plumey; Uncles Peter Pabon and Milt (Robin) Plumey; cousins Chris Orr, Matt, Jeff and Nick Fredricey, Caleb Ferrara, Hannah Brace, Andrew Mock, Jordan and Tanner Harrison, Josh , Nick and Levi Gonnion, and Nathan Plumey; a great-grandmother and lots of great Aunts and great Uncles. A Celebration Gathering will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, September 9, 2010 at Resthaven Funeral Home. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Mark Johnson Cancer Cure Fund in care of Resthaven Funeral Home, 8426 S. Hwy. 287, Ft. Collins, CO. 80525
