Marlene Garza (nee Garcia) age 80 of Lorain passed away Friday, March 27, 2015 at Elmcroft of Lorain Assisted Living surrounded by her loving family. Marlene was born in Lorain and had been a lifelong area resident. She was a homemaker and a member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church. She enjoyed crocheting and spending time with family and friends.
She married Emil Garza October 30, 1957, and he preceded her in death March 13, 2002.
Marlene is survived by children Michael (Diana) Aguilar of Elyria, Cynthia (Frank) Miniello of Strongsville, Anthony Garza of Fort Myers, FL, and Gary Garza of Lorain; grandchildren Dominic and Cruz. Along with her husband she was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Francis (Flaczynski) Garcia, and brothers Florentino, Henry, and Joseph Garcia.
Friends may call Thursday, April 2nd from 12 noon until 2:00 p.m. at Dombrowski-Riddle Funeral Home & Cremation Center 1939 Oberlin Ave., Lorain. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
Contributions in Marlene's memory may be given to the funeral home to assist the family with funeral expenses.
