Martha A. Newcomer, 83, of Cross Lanes, WV passed away Oct. 25, 2016 at her home following a long illness.



She was born on March 2, 1933 in Charleston, WV, a daughter of the late Elmer and Charlotte Tanner Webb. She was a member of the North Charleston Baptist Church. She loved her church and the church family.



Martha is survived by five daughters, Charlotte Ann Lacy and her husband, Gary, Phyllis Kiser and her husband, Lonnie Dale, Donna Simpson, Rosalie Maze, Joyce Kay Femrite; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Richard Webb and his wife, Ellen; two sisters, Patty Frail and Cherie Trout and her husband, Norman; several nieces and nephews; her special neighbor and friend, Pat Long; and her beloved dogs, Sheeba and Paris.



In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by first husband, James Ellis Smith; her second husband, William Newcomer; and three sisters, Betty Hughes, Janice Kidd, and Nancy Darlington.



Services will be held on Sunday, Oct. 30 at 2 p.m. at Tyler Mountain Funeral Home, 5233 Rocky Fork Rd., Cross Lanes, with Pastor Tim Marr officiating. Burial will follow at Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens.



Visitation will be Saturday from 5-8pm at the funeral home.
