Martin was born on July 18, 1936 and passed away on Friday, October 7, 2016.

Martin was a resident of Pittston, Pennsylvania at the time of his passing.

He was a member of the U.S. Army National Guard, 109th'Field Artillery, Kingston, for 20 years, retiring with the rank of Staff Sergeant.

He was married to Margaret Ann (Peggy) Kelly Zugarek.

Funeral services will be held on Monday at 9:30 am from the Nat & Gawlas Funeral Home, 89 Park Avenue, Wilkes-Barre, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:30 am in St. Maria Goretti Church, 42 Redwood Drive, Laflin. Rev. James J. Walsh will officiate. Interment will be in St. Ignatius Cemetery, Pringle.

Friends may call on Sunday from 5-8 pm at the funeral home.
