Elvin, Marvin Joseph “Joe”,93, passed away on Monday, February 6, 2017. A native of Michigan, he moved to Tampa in 1959 with his wife and four children to enjoy the warmth of Florida. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Pat. Survivors include his son, Dan; daughter Debby; daughter & son-in-law Janet & Ned Baldwin; daughter & son-in-law Patsy & Brian Bickel; grandsons Ned, Ben, Ian, Kyle (Elizabeth) & Brian Baldwin; great-grandchildren Alex, Alana, Taylor, Lilly, Ellie, Apple; and great-great-grandchild Mason. Joe was a WWII U.S. Navy veteran, serving as a Seabee in North Africa and the Pacific. He continued his career in carpentry, construction management and finally as a building inspector for Hillsborough County. Joe was a devoted husband and father, and always had a thoughtful gift for visiting family members. He will be missed for his humor and eye for detail. He will be buried at sea by the Navy. Memorial contributions may be made to the VFW or to a charity of ones choice.
