Mary Ann "Chip" Kwiatkowski, 74, of Silver Spring, MD, formerly of Corbin City, NJ, and Welaka, FL, passed away on May 10, 2017. Chip was born and grew up in Queens, NY and she graduated from Bard College in 1967 and NYU in 1971. Chip married James German in 1970 and raised her daughter, Key, in Welaka, Florida, where she ran Nautilus Realty for two decades and married Michael Kwiatkowski in 1984. She volunteered at the Arts Council and Humane Society in Florida and New Jersey. Denver, her Chihuahua with her at the time of her death, was the last in a long line of pets who received her devoted love. Friends and family alike remember her independent spirit, quick wit, and her love of hearing and sharing a good story and curling up with a good book. Chip is survived by her daughter, Key Hill, her son-in-law, Dana Hill, and her two grandsons Miles James Hill and Thomas Collier Hill of Takoma Park, Maryland. A private memorial service will be held for family members. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the local humane society in in honor of Chip's life-long love of animals.
