Mary Diama Pool
March 6, 1931 - October 13, 2017

Mary Diama Pool, 86, passed from this life surrounded by her family on October 13, 2017. Her loving spirit lives on within the hearts of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and those who were blessed to have known her. Diama was born in Oklahoma City on March 6, 1931. She lived there with her parents, sister and two brothers until her early teen years when the family moved to Nicoma Park. She met and married Jesse Lee Pool, her husband of over 56 years. They lived in Choctaw, OK and raised two daughters. A loving wife and mother, she was always committed to the home, providing for her family.
She loved fishing and garage sales, but she especially enjoyed family. She loved being surrounded by her children, her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. She loved a good joke and story. Her laugh and joy were contagious and will be deeply missed. Her grandchildren remember the "special times" with her, when she would make up stories to tell at bedtime. Her love was open for all to enjoy. Diama was preceded in death by her husband Jesse and her parents Jack and Ann Ballard. She is survived by her sister, Linda Mulson of Ft. Smith, Arkansas, brothers Jim Ballard of Paris, Arkansas and Johnny Ballard of Sallisaw, Arkansas; daughters and sons-in-law: Debbie and Roger Eagleston, of Arcadia and Carolyn and Rick Cochran, of Choctaw. Her grandchildren Jesse Auwen and wife Melina, Angie and husband Mike Reed, Lucas Cochran and wife Laura, Kristi and husband David Gulikers, Jennifer and husband Randy Sims. Also surviving her are eight great-grandsons and 3 great-grand daughters. Graveside services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, October 16, 2017 at Elmwood Cemetery, 1800 N Choctaw Rd. in Choctaw, Oklahoma with Reverend Hubert Gilbert officiating. Viewing will be at the Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, 8805 NE 23rd St. beginning at noon Sunday, October 16 and again from 8 a.m. to noon on Monday prior to the graveside services.
