Mary Hasley (nee Belcher), 76, of Vermilion, died Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at Mercy Hospital, Lorain after a brief illness.  

She was born August 12, 1941 in Logan, WV and graduated from Vermilion High School in 1960. She had been a life long Vermilion area resident. 

Mary was a member of Harbourtown Community Church, Vermilion where she was active in teaching different programs. enjoyed cooking, and writing poetry. She also enjoyed doing volunteer work at various places including Amherst Hospital.  

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Robert "Bob" Hasley of Vermilion; son, Bill (Sara) Hasley of Kipton; daughters, Paula (Neil) Koster of Wakeman, Patricia (Mark) Stull of South Amherst, and Peggy (Joseph) Armburster of Amherst. grandchildren: Calvin, Clifford, Andrea, Alicia, Will, and Claire; great grandson, Liam; brother, Leonard Belcher of Homosassa, FL; sister, Louisa Crites of Vermilion, Kizzie Browning of White Sulfer Springs, WV, Helen McCloud of Vermilion, and Junita Justice of Vermilion. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Lettie (nee Walls) Belcher; grandson, Myles Stull; brothers, Johnnie and Harold Belcher; and her sisters, Elsie Belcher, Vesta McCloud, and Belva Workman.  

The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 18, 2018 from 4:00 - 8:00 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion Ohio. Funeral services will be Monday, March 19, 2018 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. The Reverend Jim Cooper will officiate. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion. 

The family suggests memorial contributions to Harbourtown Community Church, 873 State Street, Vermilion, OH 44089.
