Mary Grace Campbell, 88, entered into eternal peace on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at 2:30am, at Cherry Point Bay Rehabilitation Center, encircled with her three living children by her side.

Mary was born on November 5, 1928, a daughter of the late Sadie Grace Scurlock Williams and Leon Franklin Williams Sr. She retired from Barbour Boat Works, Inc after 47 years of service as Secretary/Treasurer. She married the late Walter Robert Campbell, Jr. on July 8, 1949. Mary was a lifelong volunteer and member of Riverdale United Methodist Church and active historian and membership committee chairperson for many years. She was a very kind and hardworking soul, she had a loving and generous heart, and was always giving to others. Mary's passions included gardening, dancing, cooking, going to the beach, playing with her grandchildren and participating in church activities.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 58 years, Walter Robert Campbell, Jr. in 2007; and sibling Leon Franklin Williams Jr., and his wife, Helen.

She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her children: Walter Robert Campbell, III (and wife, Leigh); Mary Lynn Campbell; Douglas Alan Campbell (and wife, Marissa); Six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren; Her two brothers, Daniel Rexford (Rex) Williams and wife Pat; and Robert Graham Williams and wife Phyllis; Five nieces, and five nephews.

Visitation services will be held Saturday, May13, 2017 at Riverdale United Methodist Church, Fellowship Hall, 5195 US Highway 70E, New Bern 28562 at 1pm, followed by Celebration of Life Services at 2pm. Friends and relatives are invited to burial service immediately following at New Bern Memorial Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Riverdale United Methodist Church, in memory of Mary Grace Campbell, 5195 US Highway 70E, New Bern 28562.
