Mary went to be with Lord on Nov. 14, 2017 with her son by her side. Mary was born April 30, 1934 in Topeka, KS to Lyle Davis and Mildred Davis. She has a brother, Lee Davis, and a sister, Joy Davis Owens. The family moved to Phoenix, AZ in 1943 where Mary attended Phoenix Union HS. The family were members of the Westdale Nazarene Church. Mary was married to Leon Ford and then William Pennington. She was a homemaker and then worked for Travelodge in downtown Phoenix for 10 years. Mary became a minister of a Pentecostal Church in Phoenix in her 50's. She lived with her sister for many years before moving to Glencroft Retirement in Glendale. There she volunteered her time helping others. She loved attending the church she that was on the premises. Her hobbies were reading, coloring, paint by number, crossword puzzles and visiting with her friends. She is survived by her daughter, Wanda DeMooy (Harold) of Gresham, OR; Ellis G Ford of Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren: Steve Ford of Gresham, OR; Joseph Ford of Black Hawk, CO; Terry Timmons (Connie) of Phoenix, AZ; Karrie Dooley of Portland, OR; Kellie Reeves(Kevin) of Estacada, OR; great grandchildren: Makenzie Ford of Branson, MO; Matthew Timmons of Phoenix, AZ; Dustin Dooley-Reeves(Renae) FL; Crystal Williams of Portland, OR; Bryce Williams of Portland, OR; Ashley O'Shane of Portland, OR; Austin O'Shane of Portland, OR; and Shawn Reeves of Estacada, OR. She also is survived by many nieces, nephews and friends who loved her.
