Mary Lou Sarver, 85, of Raytown, MO went home Saturday February 18, 2017 in Independence, MO. She was born on May 6, 1931 in Chetopa, KS. Mary loved to sew, cook, travel, fish, garden, dance, go to the boat, laugh, and sing. More than anything she loved her children and spending time at the lake house on Truman Lake.
Mary worked for many years in the medical field as an office manager and medical assistant for a number of fine doctors in the Kansas City area. She loved working with the children, especially the many downs syndrome patients with heart issues. She was well liked by the doctors she served.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert, her parents Roy & Alma Cooper, and her sister Donna. She is survived by daughters Diana Peters, Karen Browning (Rick), Cheryl Isom and sons Paul and James Sarver. Grandchildren: Alicia, Chris, Angela, Daniel, and Cherie, along with two great grandsons and 5 great granddaughters.
The family would like to thank the loving staff at Independence Manor Care Center and Crossroads Hospice for taking such wonderful care of our momma.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 23rd at Floral Hills 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd. Raytown, MO from 4:00-5:00pm with services immediately following. Dinner will follow the service at Teetering Rocks 12040 E 86th St. Raytown, MO.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to City Union Mission.
