Mary Lou Wade, 91, of Cartersville passed away Friday, April 14 at The Fite Living
Centre surrounded by family.
Mrs. Wade was born November 24, 1925 in Gordon County to the late Bunyan and
Lizzie Black. She was retired from the Bartow County Schools and a member of Clear Creek
Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Wade; sisters, Fannie Pullum of Tennessee, Dymple Mealor of Calhoun, and Bessie Gray of Cartersville; brothers, George, Carl, and Ernest Black of Calhoun. Survivors include children and spouses, Sandra and Bob McMillan of White, Ken and Pat Wade of Cartersville, and Wanda and Jim Hodge of Cumming, Ga.; grandchildren, Valarie Zeh of St. Simons Island, Melissa (Chris) Nau of Keller, Texas, Adam (Conilia) Wade of Cartersville, Dawn Wilson and Ed Kilgore of Pacific Grove, California, and Alex Hodge of Cumming, Ga.; great-grandchildren, Chelsea Morris and Will Zeh of St. Simons Island, Tyler and Carson Nau of Keller,Texas, Colton, Carsyn and Kynlee Wade of Cartersville and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, April 21 at 11:00 in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Layman Bob McMillan officiating. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Rev. Donny Summey . The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 pm Thursday, April 20 at Owen Funeral Home.
Pallbearers include Adam Wade, Alex Hodge, Ed Kilgore, Chris Nau, Wendel Gray, Terry Martin, Michael Kiser, and Sam Franklin, Jr.
The family would like to thank Fite Living Centre and staff for all their kindness and care shown to Mrs. Wade during her stay there.
