Mary passed away on Friday, December 7, 2007.

She is survived by her husband Marshall N. McFie, brother Roger A. Emmons and his wife Susan, niece Erin Emmons Bender, niece Melissa Emmons Horve, mother-in-law Ruth W. McFie, sister-in-law Loralyn R. Leiby and her husband William, nephew Jonathan Leiby and niece Kimberly.

Mary was born in Upland, CA on February 22, 1945. She has lived lived in Anaheim, CA since 1957 after moving from Whittier, CA where she lived with her family.

Funeral Services will be 10 am, Thursday, December 13, 2007 in the Westminster Memorial Chapel, Westminster, CA. Interment will follow after a grave-side service at Loma Vista Memorial Park in Fullerton, CA.

Mary and her husband both graduated from Anaheim High School in 1962. They re-met as a result of their 20th high school reunion and were married on August 20, 1983 at the First Christian Church in Anaheim.

Mary enjoyed sports as a player and an observer. She played in many tennis tournemants while in high school and college. She majored in political science with a minor in history. She taugth pre-school children
for many years after college through which she became associated with
Camp Tocaloma near Sedona, AZ. Her surviving colleagues still meet monthly.

Mary supported many organization, chief among them was Sigma Beta Phi, a national charitable organization based in Kansas City, MO with many local chapters spread across the U. S. This organization had a part in Mary's memorial service.

Mary retired March 1, 2007 and spending the bulk of her career in lending that started with her joining California Federal Savings in 1975 and ending with Washington Mutual Bank where she was in real estate lending. Mary very much enjoyed travel whether it was simply jumping into a car by herself for a week-end outing or joining her husband after their marriage on varied travel that extended from international travel to shorter travels by motorhome around the U. S. and Canada. Mary was struck down by brain cancer on her final motorhome trip to Georgia and up the east coast to Virginia.
