Ridgeway – Mary Rita DeVoe, age 69, of Ridgeway, passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg.

Mary was born on June 16, 1947 in Dodgeville, the daughter of the late Wendell "Toad" and Mary Frances (Short) Moon. She graduated from Dodgeville High School in 1965, having attended her freshman year at Ridgeway High School. She worked for 36 years at Sub Zero Freezer Company and retired in 2012. In her retirement, she remained very busy and kept working hard until she passed away. She was an active member of St. Bridget's Catholic Church in Ridgeway.

Mary most enjoyed this time of year, for we all knew she was the real Santa Claus. She loved her grandkids and children and was very proud of each and every one of them. She loved yard work and took great pride in her hosta garden. She was a lifelong Badger and Packer fan. If there are TVs in heaven, we are sure we'll hear her yelling at it from time to time watching a game. She loved antiquing and was an avid bowler and loved bowling with her dear friends.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Peggy (William) Ramsey and their children, Abby and Beau; her son, David DeVoe and his son, Danni Hess; her son, Danni DeVoe, and his children, Adrix and Toria; her sister, Kay Tippett; her dog, Molly; other relatives and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 28, 2016 at ST. BRIDGET'S CATHOLIC CHURCH in Ridgeway. Fr. Steven Petrica will officiate. Burial will be held in St. Bridget's Cemetery. Friends may call from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday at the GORGEN-McGINLEY & AYERS FUNERAL HOME in Dodgeville and from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass on Monday at the church.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Upland Hills Health, the staff at Agrace HospiceCare for their wonderful care of mom and all family and friends who have supported us during this difficult time.
