Mary Velma Sibley Hall, born on March 28, 1931, departed this life peacefully in the presence of her children on Sunday, November 27, 2016, at the age of 85. "Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever." (Psalm 23:6). She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, James William "J.W." Hall; son, William James "Jimmy" Hall; grandson, Reece Jerrad Rutland; parents, Allen and Laura Bernice Kennard Sibley; two sisters, Mattie Estelle Sibley and Anna Virginia Sibley Lanier; and three brothers, John Carl, Jesse Lee and Eldon Newton Sibley. She is survived by one brother, Allen Ray Sibley; one son, Berlin Andrew "Andy" Hall; two daughters, Velma Ruth Wesley and Teresa Hall Rutland; two sons-in-law, Paul Wesley and Ray Rutland; daughter-in-law, Tina Mallett Hall; three grandsons, Jonathan Paul Wesley, Jason David James Wesley and Brandon James Hall; two granddaughters, Kathryn Michelle Wesley Dodd and Amanda Raye Rutland; great-granddaughter, Aubrey Elaine Wesley; and great-grandson, Gabriel James Wesley; along with numerous nieces and nephews and many friends. She was a member of Faith Crossing/Friendship United Methodist Church where visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 29, and will resume from 9 a.m. until service at 12 p.m. Burial will follow at Vickers Cemetery, Walker, LA. She will be missed greatly by her family, friends, church family and neighbors.
