Maureen Clare Campbell, 80 passed away peacefully at home on February 12, 2018. She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years Bill, four children: Kathleen, Bill (Laurie), Deirdre Einhorn (Greg ), Kerry and three grandchildren: Liam, Hannah and Nora Campbell. Maureen was born in the Washington Heights section of Manhattan and maintained lifelong friendships with the "crew from the Heights". She was the only child of Thomas Keating and Kathleen Clancy, Irish immigrant parents from County Clare and wore her Irish heritage proudly. She rarely missed an opportunity to attend an Irish function or hear an Irish band. Maureen was a member of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians. She volunteered her time and gave to numerous charitable causes. Her catholic faith was central to her life. She attended mass weekly at Mary Mother of God in Hillsborough and Saint Pio of Pietralcino in Lavalette during the summer months Maureen loved to socialize and had many friendships in life, but nothing surpassed her love for her family, particularly her 3 precious grandchildren. Visitation will be on Thursday 7-9pm and Friday 2-4pm and 7-9pm at Bruce C VanArsdale Funeral Home, 111 Gaston Ave, Somerville, NJ. Funeral mass will be held Saturday 10:30am at Mary Mother of God RC Church, Hillsborough. Donations can be made to Disabled American Veterans, PO Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301.
