Maurice Joseph Watson 96 of Muirfield Rd. in Burlington died on February 10th, 2018 at Starr Farm Nursing Center following a short illness. He was born on July 25, 1921 in Colebrook, NH the son of John and Francis Andrews Watson. He attended Burlington Schools, the class of 1939. On July 3, 1951 he was married to Margaret L. Morrill. Maurice was a Naval World War II veteran and worked for many years in the fuel industry installing and repairing fuel pumps all across Northern New England and New York. Upon his retirement he enjoyed many years of sharing his Florida home with his children and grandchildren. Besides his family, Maurice enjoyed the companionship of the many dogs he loved and cared for during his lifetime. He is survived by daughters, Norma Watson Sesny Pawulak and her husband John their children Katie Sesny Knox along with her husband James and four children, and son Stephen Sesny, daughter Melinda Pawulak and son John Pawulak Jr. Belinda Watson Haight and her husband Kevin their children Corey and Amanda Watson Mangan and her husband Chris. Maurine Watson Burton and her husband David along with their son Alex. Laurie Watson Burrington and her husband Norman and their children Brooke, Ethan, and Misty Burrington Crompton and her husband Chris and their two children. Cheryl Watson Jarvis and her husband Richard and their children Jillian and Jacob. Carol Jean Watson of Florida and family and son Maurice David Watson of Florida He was predeceased by his son John Watson of Burlington, His brother Gordon Watson of Colchester, his sister Laura Watson Colompos, and his twin sister Mildred Watson Corrigan of Burlington. Calling hours will be on Wednesday February 14, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 (noon) with a Memorial Service starting at 12:00 (noon) at The Ready Funeral Home and Cremation Services South Chapel, 261 Shelburne Road, Burlington, VT. 05401. Burial will follow at New Mount Calvary Cemetery. Those who wish in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society Kindness Ct. South Burlington 05403
