Melanie was born on January 21, 1977 and passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2018.

Melanie was a resident of Wichita Falls, Texas at the time of passing.

A graduate of Boonsboro High School, in Boonsboro, Maryland, she served as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) in Paris, France for 18 months before completing her Bachelor of Science at both Brigham Young University in Hawaii, and Utah where she met and married her husband of nearly 17 years.

As a devoted member of the LDS Church, she dedicated her life to various service related leadership roles and activities in the Church, as well as her recent duties as an Air Force chaplain's wife.

Funeral services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter-day Saints in Burkburnett, Texas on Saturday, April 14, 2018. A viewing will be held beginning at 10 a.m., with the service to follow at 11 a.m at the church under the direction of Owens and Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls. Interment and graveside service will be in Mesa Arizona at a future date.

The family suggests that memorials may be made in Melanie's name to LDS Humanitarian Aid, 1450 N. University Ave., Provo, UT 84604 Families are forever.
