Michael B. Kosowan peacefully passed away on January 1, 2011 at the age of 90, surrounded by family. He was born in Hamtramck, Michigan but lived most of his life in Allen Park, Michigan before spending the last l0 years in Venice, Florida. He is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years Mary Patricia Kosowan. Loving father to sons Michael Kosowan, Mark Kosowan, daughter Patricia (and Michael) Biber, and dear grandfather to Adam (and Carol) Kennedy, Benjamin Kosowan, Mark Kosowan, Paige Kosowan and great grandson Everett Kennedy. Dear uncle to Mary Ellen Powell of Los Angeles and Robert (and Lauren) Powell of Rochester Hills, Michigan.

While serving honorably in World War II, as a Technician with the 348th Station Hospital in England, Mike met and shortly thereafter, married Mary Patricia Canty of Devon, England. Upon returning home they resided in Warren, Michigan while he attended Lawrence Institute of Technology, graduating in 1949 with a degree in "Mechanical Engineering". His first employment upon graduation was with a small research and development company named "General Automation", founded by Stan and Herb Ovshinsky. He worked for Essex Wire and then moved on to Ford Motor Company, as an "Electrical Engineer" retiring in 1986. His successful engineering career was only exceeded by his extraordinary devotion and care for his wife "Pat" after she suffered a head injury early into his retirement years. For this we will always be profoundly grateful.

Mike enjoyed many sports during his lifetime including, bowling with "Pat" at "Thunderbowl Lanes", hunting and fishing, skiing and golfing into his 80's. However, his true joy was tennis which he played with the same enthusiasm as he lived his life. So to the many lifelong friends he enjoyed on the courts.."Game, Set and Match".

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Farley Funeral Home in Venice, Florida is handling the arrangements.
