He spent his entire career of 42 years with Michael Kinder & Sons Inc., where he served as partner and dedicated tireless efforts and hours for his company in a job that he truly loved, even stopping to visit construction sites when he was receiving chemotherapy for breast cancer in 1990. Mike's proudest achievements were his faith and his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Sandra (Stolte) Kinder; sons Michael III (Wendy) and Patrick (Betsy); daughters Christine (John) Colvin, Kathy (Dave) Campbell, Kari (Tom) Cummings, Holly (Bryan) Steward, Emily (Ricky) Brough; grandchildren John (Brooke), Kayley, Daniel and Michael Colvin, Blair and Leland Campbell, Tommy and Katie Cummings, Paige, Claire, and Andrew Kinder, Maggie, Sam, Ellie and Jack Steward, twin Brough grandchildren on the way, and two great-grandchildren; brother Tom (Joni); sisters Pat (Tony) Becker, Anne (Paul) Knupke; and numerous nieces and nephews. He enjoyed many years of happiness as a husband, father, and grandfather. He found great delight in spending time with his family at home, Clear Lake, Purdue (where he was an avid fan), and on numerous vacations over the years, especially in Daytona Beach, Florida.
