Michael was born on February 11, 1919 and passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2016.

Michael was a resident of Cohoes, New York at the time of passing.

He was a 1938 graduate of Cohoes High School.

He was an army veteran of the Second World War. Michael served his country in the European Theater and was honorably discharged on February 24 1946 and awarded three combat stars for his service.

His funeral will be held from the Parker Bros. Memorial 2013 Broadway Watervliet on Monday morning at 9 oclock and at 9:30 oclock in St. Basils Russian Orthodox Church Maplewood where the Divine Liturgy will be celebrated by Very Reverend Father Peter Olsen and Very Reverend Father Stephen Mack Michaels son-in-law and pastor of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church in Auburn NY. Interment will follow in St. Basils Cemetery Maplewood. Relatives and friends are invited to attend and may also visit with Michaels family at the funeral home on Sunday from 4 until 7 PM during which time the Parastas service will be held at 7 oclock.

Contributions in lieu of flowers and in memory of Michael Nystoriak may be made to the Restoration Fund of St. Basils Russian Orthodox Church 6 Lansing Avenue Watervliet NY 12189.
