Life Story On March 10, 2015, the Lord called home a wonderful father, a loving son and a thoughtful friend. Michael Pressley was the youngest of five children born to Rivan Pressley and the late Hillie Pressley. He entered into this life on January 11, 1954 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Philadelphia is where he began his education at McMichael's Elementary School and then to West Philadelphia High School. He later went to Job Corps and worked for the city. To some people, he was known as Michael (Snot). Michael was always there for anyone in a time of need. He was a loving, helpful and thoughtful person who always had a big smile on his face. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved to play the lottery. He loved to eat, socialize and enjoyed traveling to see family and friends. Michael spent many of his days sharing conversation with his mother and his Aunt Carol who he loved dearly. He always put others before himself. He believed and loved the Lord. He could quote the Bible. He joined St. Jude Baptist Church, where he was under the leadership of Reverend Edwards. Michael was preceded in death by one sister, Marie Pressley and one great-nephew, Nafis Oneal and ex-wife Rose Pressley. He leaves to cherish his memory and laughter: his mother, Rivan Pressley; a close friend of 47 years, Gloria Pittman; two daughters, Kelly Blaylock (and her mother, Robin Blaylock) and Inez (Nezzie) Hargrove; one son, Aquil Johnson; Lil Mike, William and Karen whom he helped to raise as his own children; one son-in-law, Ralston (Rashien) Hargrove; three brothers, Hillie Pressley, Jr., Ozzie Pressley and Dennis Pressley; two sisters, Della Mae Pressley and Catherine Tucker of Durham, NC; six grandchildren, Khyri Blaylock, Thomas Blaylock, Tahmir Blaylock, Jamyia Covington, Rashien Hargrove Jr. and Jordin Hargrove; four great-grandchildren, one sister-in-law, Caroline Pressley; two aunts, Caroline Whiteside and Martha Wilson of Florida; one uncle, Leroy Vernon of South Carolina; host of nieces, nephews, cousins, the Dickers and Pressley's and some real true friends. MAY HE REST IN PEACE. Love, Gloria Pittman
