Michael R. Stewart 77, passed away peacefully on Sept. 15, 2017 in Mesa, AZ

Mike was born in Hodge, LA December 26,1939. He attended North High School Phoenix and Yavapai Colleges in Arizona. He was a Paratrooper in the 101st Airborne, United States Army and a Fireman for the City of Phoenix. He became a resident of Verde Valley in 1973, the Superintendent of Village of Oak Creek Golf Course and retired in 1978 after 11 years. He loved fishing, golfing and was avid boxing fan. He attended Calvary Chapel Camp Verde. His favorite Bible verse was Philippians 4:13
"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" He loved the Lord, his wife, his family and his old dog Bruno.
He is preceded in death by his parents Elward and Vivian Stewart and his beloved wife Constance Isabel (Aug. 26,2017)
He is survived by his children Yvonne Hill, Christine Zimmerman (Kevin), Michell Caswell (Rick Gulden), Dana Alger, Shelly Mathews (James), Richie Alger (Lisa); his grandchildren Nicole Gaines (Quincy), Ashley Gifford, Aj McAllen, John Jr., Michael, Cassandra Caswell, Stephen Ramirez, Ashton Alger, Buddy, Chipper, Aj, Daylan Mathews, Tate Alger; his brother Charlie Stewart (Karen); his sister Judy Stewart; 3 great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews, and friends.
