Michael left his terrible pain behind and moved to heaven, to see his parents and his brother on October 3rd, 2017, with his family by his side.
Michael, born on June 27, 1947, was the son of the late Ralph P. and Thelma Maulden Williams, of Monroe. He was also predeceased by his brother Richard P. Williams. He is survived by his two sisters; Brenda Williams-Hall and husband Ron and Paula Williams Crook and husband Mitchell. Also long time friend Mary Frawley and the special family of Kevin and Tammy Quick, Danny Propst, his trusty dog, Jackie, who was always by his side. He leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and loved friends to cherish his memory.
Michael, even as a child, always loved tinkering with motors and later engines. Some of his happiest times were building a dirt track race car for his friend Danny to drive for him. Although many times not much work got done for the spending of time chatting with friends that would drop by his shop to talk or seek advice on some problem. He was always there with a smile and helping hand.
Michael or Mike as many called him, began his working days at, Williams Septic Tank, also pursued his love of working on engines at Parks Nash Rebuilders, then at Dellinger Inc. In more recent time he worked on auto engines in his garage and was always ready to help with a car problem for those that needed his help. Another of his favorite things to do was go fishing with his Granddaddy Maulden. Granddaddy would drive to Monroe from his home in Kannapolis, on many Saturdays and take Michael fishing. They had great fun together.
He was a member of Mason Lodge #244, a member of Back to Bethel Baptist Church where his love was taking care of the internet ministry. He loved his Lord, his church and his family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Benton Heights Presbyterian Church Building Fund, 2701 Concord Highway, Monroe NC or Back to Bethel Baptist Church, 3800 Sanford Lane, Monroe NC 28110.
