Mildred Gregory, 92, died peacefully at home in the loving care of her family on December 14, 2016. She was a devoted wife to Lawrence who predeceased her in April 2010, also predeceased by her brother, Dick and sisters, Betty and Donna. Mildred was a dear and cherished mother to 6 children who survive: Fred & Donna Gregory, Mary & Ken Hessberger, Jane & Ray Northrup, Sharon & Charles Stevens, Linda (Jack DiLascia) Marbaker and Sue Chamberlain, her 18 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren brought her much joy and she loved them all. She is also survived by her brother, Lonnie Prince and her sister, Bernice Stevens and many other extended family members, all of whom she thoughtfully remembered on every occasion with handpicked greeting cards. She will be remembered for her kindness and love for all, never a negative word, her emotional and physical toughness, and her family values. We're thankful for this legacy that she passed on to us. She lived in Florida, worked at the Avon Park Military Bombing Range until she met Larry, married and moved to the home they built in Conklin Forks, NY. She worked Brookside (SV) School for 22 years. She enjoyed spending her winters in Florida and traveling to many exciting places with Larry and the family. The family wishes to thank Lourdes Hospice and all who helped in her care and with their prayers. Special thanks to daughter, Linda who has lovingly cared for both parents for many years. A Memorial Service will be on Tuesday December 20, at 11:00 am at the Conklin Forks United Methodist Church on Brady Hill Rd. Family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 am at the church. Millie asked that any memorial contributions be sent to the Conklin Forks UMC.
