Mitchell was born on February 1, 1936 and passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2016.
Mitchell was a resident of Longmeadow, Massachusetts at the time of his passing.
He graduated from Enfield High School. He received both his bachelor's and master's degrees from American International College.
He was married to Phyllis (Hapcook) Gregorski.
Calling hours are Thursday, October 13 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Forastiere Smith Funeral & Cremation, 220 North Main St., East Longmeadow. The funeral will be on Friday, October 14, beginning at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Parish, 519 Longmeadow St., Longmeadow, followed by interment at St. Michael's Cemetery, 1601 State St., Springfield.
