Modesta Thompson Marsalone, 86, died peacefully at Our Lady of Wisdom, on Tuesday September 5, 2017. She was born October 24, 1930, in New Orleans, LA. She and her beloved husband Angelo successfully owned and operated Crasto Glass and later A&M Glass. They enjoyed a full circle of business and lovely personal friendships. And these are a few of her favorite things - her love of music, poetry, reading biographies and English History, arts and entertainment, the New Orleans Symphony Book Fair, and especially boxers: Boots, Dixie Bell I, Dixie Bell II & Lutz!! Modesta will be remembered for her charismatic personality, her classic style in clothes, her beautiful Hollywood smile, and her dimple. She was preceded in death by her husband Angelo Marsalone, and siblings Beverly Besson, William G. Thompson and Robert A. Thompson. She is dearly beloved and greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, and close friends.



Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, September 21, 2017, at 12 pm, at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA. Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00 am through 12:00 pm.
