Myrtle Christine Ivey Lucas, 85, of Hanahan, went to be with the Lord, Friday morning, December 15, 2017. She was born August 2, 1932 in Greenville, Alabama to the late John and Dolly Ivey.



She assisted her husband Ralph for many years at Lucas Alarm Co. She loved to cook and to go shrimping with her husband.



Myrtle was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church in North Charleston where she enjoyed singing in the choir and was a Sunday School Teacher.



Surviving are her two sons, Michael (Janet) Lucas, of Moncks Corner, and Jeffery (Alysia) Lucas, of Hanahan, a daughter, Cynthia Cannaday, of Middleburg, FL, one sister, Zerlean Allegri, of Fairhope, AL, three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.



Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph W. Lucas Jr.



A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, December 18, 2017, at Friendship Baptist Church, 5032 Lackawanna Blvd. with a visitation being held prior to the service from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.



Memorials may be made to the Friendship Baptist church or the Hospice of Charleston.
