Born June 29, 1935 to Hamilton Otto and Ella Lucas (Harvey) Smith. Graduated from New Cumberland High School in 1953 and received a Certificate of Preliminary Education from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in 1955. She earned her Nursing Diploma in 1956 from the Harrisburg Polyclinic Hospital, and became a Registered Nurse in 1963. Nancy worked as an RN for forty years at Methodist Hospital Dallas (Central), usually in Labor & Delivery, but also in the Nursery and Post Partum units. She loved her job and was delighted to participate in the births of many friends and family members. Nancy loved God and her family, and most people she had the pleasure to meet. Her beautiful voice could be enjoyed almost every Sunday morning in a local church choir, most recently Red Oak United Methodist. Nancy is survived by her son, Sam Robinson and his wife, Kathryn; her daughter, Susie Janssen and her husband, Lonnie. She was blessed with four granddaughters; Victoria Cook (Michael), Nicole Parker (Matt), Amanda Shouppe (Adam), and Adrianne Janssen (engaged to Patrick Dugan); and seven great-grandchildren: Charlotte, Colin, Liam, Isaac, Daniel, Ruby, and Lucas; her brother and sister-in-love, Kelsey and Frances Smith, and many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her eldest son, James Harold Robinson, Jr. (1993). Nancy surrendered gracefully to Eternity on April 5, 2017. Visitation 6-8 pm Sunday, April 9; Funeral 10 am Monday, April 10.
