Mrs. Naomi Brittain Lowman, 74, of Connelly Springs, went to her Heavenly Home to be with Jesus on Saturday August 28, 2021 at her residence after a period of declining health.
Mrs. Lowman was born January 16, 1947 in Lincoln County, a daughter of the late Rev. Stanley T. Brittain and Lassie Rhoney Brittain. Naomi was a devoted and active member of Hildebrand View Baptist Church, previously serving as a choir member, Sunday School Teacher, Vacation Bible School Director, Chairman of Hospitality. She retired from Burke County School System working as custodian, cafeteria worker, bus driver, and lastly as the mail courier, going from the main office to all the schools in the system on a daily basis. She was also a previous Girl Scout leader.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Randal Lowman, son-in-law, Wayne D. Lowman, brothers, Stan Brittain, Jr., and Nathan "Bud" Brittain.
Surviving are her loving husband, Junior Lee Lowman, and three daughters, Benita Lowman of Connelly Springs, Delta Lowman of Connelly Springs, and Regina Hunt and husband, Aaron of Casar, one brother, Timothy Brittain and wife Sandra, sisters, Faye Mitcham and husband Gene, Nancy Lowman and Shelia Sizemore. Also surviving are the loves of her life, her grandchildren, Clayton Lowman, Will Hunt, Graham Hunt and Isaac Hunt and a number of nieces and nephews and cousins.
Funeral Services for Naomi Brittain Lowman will be held at 4:00 P.M. Thursday September 2, 2021 in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service with Rev. Larry Nantz officiating.
Interment will follow in the Hildebrand View Baptist Church Cemetery.
