Naomi Ruth Johnson entered life on May 23, 1929 in the town of Antlers, Oklahoma. She passed away December 12, 2017. Naomi is survived by her sons, Jarvis (Sheila) Johnson of Bokchito, OK., Marvin (Cheryl) Johnson of Choctaw, OK., Samuel Johnson of Dallas, TX., Donald (Alma) Johnson of Midwest City, OK and Richard Johnson Sr. of Oklahoma City, OK. Naomi is also survived by her daughters, Delvagene (Ruben) Laguna of Oklahoma City and Wilma (Mitch) Watan of Wayne, OK. She was preceded in death by her husband, McDonald Douglas Johnson and her parents, Sampson and Margaret (Crowder) Scott. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Jasper Scott and Jessie Scott of Atoka, OK., her sister Lorena Mae Scott-Cooper of Stringtown, OK., her sons Melvin Ray Johnson and Ulysses Ross Johnson, her grandson Marvin Roy Johnson and her granddaughter Peaches Elaine Johnson.
Naomi enjoyed reading her Bible, fishing and loved to eat wild onions. She was a member of Coal Creek Church, proudly spoke the Choctaw language and was always helping others, she enjoyed sewing and making beadwork, vegetable gardening and raised her own chickens. She was always praying for everyone, especially her family. She frequently rode horses in her younger years and taught herself how to read and write. She loved her dogs immensely, especially Snoopy the weenie-dog. Naomi leaves behind 23 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.

Public visitation will be from 12-6pm Saturday, December 16, and 12-5pm Sunday, December 17 at Bill Eisenhour NE. Services for Naomi will be held Monday, December 18, 2017 at Bill Eisenhour NE Chapel at 2pm. She will be laid to rest at Arlington Memory Gardens directly following.
