Nathan Dwight Waters age 38 of Kuttawa but living and teaching in Beijing, China, died at 10:30 am June 8, 2017 at the Beijing United Family Medical Hospital in Beijing, China. He attended and graduated from Lyon County High School then earned his master's degree in Agricultural Science from Murray State University. After graduation Nathan taught for 6 years at Eagles Landing High School in McDough, GA then after a couple of years went to Beijing, China to teach at the Wall Street English School for two and a half years then taught the last two years at St. Paul American Academy in Beijing. While teaching overseas Nathan traveled extensively in the Mid East to Sri Lanka, Cambodia, Thailand, Phnom Penn, Vietnam, the Philippines and several other European Countries. Nathan was a member of the Fredonia Presbyterian Church in Fredonia, KY and was preceded in death by his paternal grand parents Russell and Ruth Reed Waters and his maternal grand parents John and Jo Ann Wilmore Peek and step grandmother Anita Skinner Peek. Survivors include his parents Doug D. Waters of Kuttawa, his mother Mary K. Peek Waters of Kuttawa and one brother Jonathan Waters of Kuttawa. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Monday at Macedonia Baptist Church with Doug Phelps and Rev. Roger Waters officiating. Burial will follow in Macedonia Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 pm until 7 pm Sunday at Dunn's Funeral Home in Eddyville and after 11:00 am till 1 pm Monday at Macedonia Baptist Church with the funeral at 1 pm at Macedonia Baptist Church. The family has ask that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Nathan Waters FFA Scholarship Fund through Fredonia Valley Bank 226 Commerce St. Eddyville, Ky 42038 or the Go Fund Me Account in Nathan's Memory.
